“Step out of your comfort zone .” -Take the time to get to know the people around you during your next class, you never know who you are standing next to and you might make a new friend who’s company might last more than just those 55mins. One of the best things about our studio, is that we are more like a community.
Zumba® at Momentum for me is much more than exercise. I was dealing with depression and my teenage daughter invited me to come to a class with her. I thought,” I am too old for this!” She didn’t’ give up so after a while, I decided to go!! One class and I was in love!! The instructors have so much energy that it is contagious. The diversity is refreshing: different ages, body types and we all feel very comfortable to show our moves! It makes me feel happy, alive and I can’t imagine my life now without it!
I discovered Momentum at age 39! As a teen I developed scoliosis and back ache and swollen legs were a permanent feature. I was interested in losing my post pregnancy weight, what I had not expected were the other benefits that now actually over shadow my weight loss. My back pain is virtually gone, I’m waking up without a stiff back, the swelling in my legs, is a fraction of what it used to be and my postpartum depression was gone in a month. My outlook on life is more positive and I notice that I handle stress better.
Thanks to Momentum Fitness & Wellness, I am down 70lbs and 5 dress sizes!! The Zumba® Fitness program has changed my life, and boosted my confidence twofold. Momentum has not only helped me to improve my physical health, but it has been my sanctuary–a place where I am able to literally shake the stress away. I am so grateful to have found Momentum when I did, because I owe my health to this booty-shaking, hip-twisting, fat-burning, life-changing, crazy-fun program.
